Gardening Activity

My daughter’s toddler classroom is having their Spring Traditions week. Each child gets to bring in one of their spring traditions and share it with their class. My family gets excited to plant a garden each year and this year, my daughter got to help, so we chose that as our tradition. Of course, being a librarian, I brought in a couple of gardening books and prepped a garden basket craft for the class.

The Craft

A paper plate became a basket, and I printed out the different vegetables and precut them so the teachers didn’t have to deal with 16 two-year-olds using scissors. They had an absolute blast coloring and gluing and the craft turned out so cute!
